Torrevieja Council has completed a programme of upgrades to public lighting in several parts of the municipality, with a total investment of 381,800 euros. The works focused on repairing, cleaning, painting and protecting street‑light columns that were in poor condition. Nearly €1.5 million allocated to protect Vega Baja Hospital from flooding

The regional Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development has allocated €1,477,995 to protect Vega Baja University Hospital from the risk of flooding.
